Sources and credits

How an entry gets onto the Explorer, where its facts come from, and who took each photograph.

The rules

  1. A government list, report or journal paper places the species in Rajasthan, or a camera-trap study recorded it in Jaipur.
  2. It is native to India. Introduced or invasive species and domestic animals are never listed.
  3. Every fact is tied to a numbered source and tagged with the place it was verified for: Rajasthan, Jaipur, India or the world.
  4. Whatever could not be sourced is shown as left out, never filled by guessing.
  5. Every photograph shows its creator, platform, licence and place. Photos we cannot credit correctly are not used.

Global conservation status comes from the IUCN Red List. Native range for plants comes from Kew's Plants of the World Online, which says a plant is native to India but not that it grows wild in Rajasthan, so Rajasthan evidence comes from the sources below.
