Chirag Panwar

Founder and Programme Director. Ecological restorer, conservation practitioner and nature entrepreneur, based in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Chirag Panwar founded Keshav Jeev-Van Foundation out of a long-standing interest in nature, animal welfare, biodiversity and ecological restoration. As Founder and Programme Director, he leads the Foundation's programmes, manages its projects and works with schools, colleges, communities and conservation partners.

His background combines business and fieldwork. He holds an MBA in Human Resources and a BBA, and has hands-on experience in native plantation, nursery operations, wildlife habitat creation, pond restoration, landscaping and animal care. He also founded The Keshav Farm, a separate green-services enterprise in Jaipur, which is not part of the Foundation.

His approach to conservation begins with understanding a place before acting on it, and with bringing people along: students, farmers, neighbours, experts and institutions.

A personal inspiration

His outlook is inspired by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj (opens the BAPS website in a new tab) (Pujya Sadhu Keshavjivandasji), the spiritual guru of BAPS. His life and teachings inspire Chirag to value humility, compassion, selflessness, discipline and service without expectation.

These values shape how he understands his responsibility towards nature, animals and all living beings: approaching conservation with compassion, working with sincerity, respecting different perspectives and striving for harmony between people and the natural world. For him, caring for nature is not limited to planting trees or protecting individual species. It is about understanding the interconnectedness of life, healing ecosystems and creating conditions in which nature can gradually become self-sustaining.

This is a personal inspiration. Keshav Jeev-Van Foundation is an inclusive, non-profit organisation focused on ecological restoration, biodiversity conservation, animal welfare, environmental education and peaceful coexistence. It does not promote any particular religion, political ideology or individual, and welcomes everyone who shares a commitment to protecting nature and respecting life.
