  • IndiaVultures dispose of animal carcasses. The government's 2006 plan warns that without them, rotting carcasses and feral dogs increase, with a higher risk of rabies and other livestock diseases.[12]
  • IndiaGyps vultures fell by 97% in India by 2005. The decline was first recorded at Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Rajasthan, between the mid 1980s and mid 1990s. The plan links it to the veterinary drug diclofenac.[12]
